Consolidating the FFe here: this transition bug (already linked to the golang-defaults MP 509678) now carries all 37 fixed packages as affects- tasks and ubuntu-release is subscribed. LP#2164619 is marked duplicate of this bug.
Note on freeze scope: strictly, not all of these need a freeze exception. Most rows are bugfix-class — test-only or build-only fixes (golden-output updates, test skips for toolchain-diverged tests, symbols-file tweaks) with no functional change to shipped binaries. The rows that genuinely introduce new upstream code and thus most warrant explicit FFe treatment are: * golang-honnef-go-tools 2026.2~rc1-0ubuntu1 (new upstream release candidate, required for Go 1.27 language/AST support) * delve 1.27.1-2ubuntu1 (sync of new upstream point release carrying Go 1.27 compat) * golang-github-tetratelabs-wazero 1.12.0-1ubuntu1 and golang-github-go-git-go-git 5.19.1-1ubuntu1 (small upstream cherry-picks) ** Summary changed: - Transition the default Go compiler to 1.27 (Go 1.27 transition) + Go 1.27 transition [FFe for regression fixes] -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2164597 Title: Go 1.27 transition [FFe for regression fixes] To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/delve/+bug/2164597/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
