I just unplugged my GPU to test the patch on top of the 7.2 kernel on my
i7-8700k and I got none of the issues you mentioned above. I'd assume
that there is a regression on the Ubuntu-6.8.0-139 base for Intel Mac
hardware which might deserve a separate bug report. (if you are willing
to test as I suggested above and start another thread like this)

As such I've uploaded another patched kernel to test which based off the
linux-6.8.0-137.137 package. Hopefully at least your mouse and keyboard
will work this way. (note that this is a slightly out-of-date kernel
base which is used here only for testing purposes, so be careful if you
have other users with access to your machine or untrusted software
running that could be malicious)

I believe that if you directly add the ppa:cremfuelled/kernel to your
machine and `sudo apt upgrade` the kernel and DKMS packages should
automatically figure themselves out. Just wait for the packages to
finish building first :)

Let me know if this resolves the problems you highlighted with the
previous kernel.
