I specified in my original report the steps to reproduce this, including additional information in a follow up. However, I have made a couple of minor edits to my original, to hopefully clarify the processes I used. In short, yes, it is absolutely reproducible. I have reproduced it on two bare-metal installs and now on 9 VMs that have been either upgraded to 26.04 or were fresh installs. All with the identical procedures and results listed above. If this is insufficient information, please clarify what additional information you may need.
No, I do not currently use scripts for updates. All VMs and machines have been updated directly, via interactive SSH sessions. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2164687 Title: needrestart hangs during apt upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/needrestart/+bug/2164687/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
