Hi Mario, Currently we got a regression from our cusotmer. I'm curious if the 26.04 has the same issue because the fix is from upstream. Anyway, I plan to revert the latest change before we find a solution, currently it's blocker issue for our customer. Thanks!
After online update, system is unable to boot to desktop, gets stuck in “job plymouth-quit-wait.service/start running (TIME / no limit)” and never finish. Performed a factory restore and applied the updates one by one, found out after power-profiles-daemon upgrade to version 0.21-1ubuntu2, issue happened. Steps to reproduce: Install OEM image on Sunfire AMD devices, confirm reboot/poweroff all work as expected. Check power-profiles-daemon version is 0.21-1ubuntu1. Perform online update (or just upgrade power-profiles-daemon to 0.21-1-ubuntu2). Reboot the system Expected result: System boots to desktop normally Actual result: Boot process gets stuck at plymouth-quit-wait.service, unable to boot to desktop More detail: When issue happens, removing “splash” from grub boot option can boot successfully HWK and MDN can both reproduce, WCL device is fine.
