I can confirm the same bug for ASUS P5LD2 Deluxe motherboard in Ubuntu 7.10 and 8.04 alpha 3.
In 7.10, the file /proc/acpi/alarm shows 00 in place of a date in month (like described above) after reboot. In 8.04 alpha 3, the file is missing at all. According to mythtv wiki, the /proc/acpi/alarm should be replaced by /sys/class/rtc/rtc0/wakealarm however the directory /sys/class/rtc/ is emtpy. I am not sure if it relates - in dmesg there is a message "unable to open rtc device (rtc0)" from /drivers/rtc/hctosys.c (both in 7.10 and 8.04 alpha 3). -- [GUTSY] RTC alarm does not retain setting from /proc/acpi/alarm https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/139846 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
