Second environment: Ubuntu 26.04 LXC container on Proxmox VE 9.2, running on a Dell R720. Kernel is the Proxmox host's 7.0.14-4-pve, so this is not an Ubuntu kernel and the plugin set differs noticeably from a VM.
Same comparison as before, sos 4.11.2-0ubuntu0.1 from resolute-proposed against 4.10.2-1 from release. 4.10.2 enabled 57 plugins, 4.11.2 enabled 58. The extra one is the new getent plugin, which loaded and ran without error here as well. Zero-size files were 500 on 4.10.2 and 501 on 4.11.2. Neither version produced a plugin error file, and sos_logs holds only sos.log and ui.log in both cases. The warning set is the same on both versions apart from one addition on 4.11.2. The block plugin now attempts dmsetup table --target crypt, which skips because the container has no dm_mod. That looks like a new command in this release behaving correctly rather than a regression. I also installed and registered landscape-client here and got the same result as on the VM. A registration_key value in /etc/landscape/client.conf is collected in clear text on both versions, so the gap I described in my previous comment is not specific to one environment. Still leaving the tag as verification-needed-resolute. This adds container coverage, but physical hardware and managed environments remain untested. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2156921 Title: [sru] sos upstream 4.11.2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sos/+bug/2156921/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
