Public bug reported:
The package libopenmpi-dev alternatively depends on gfortran-16 or gfortran-15.
Thus, by default, it pulls in gfortran-16, which in turn pulls in libgcc-16-dev.
However, the default version for gcc and gfortran is 15 instead of 16 in Ubuntu
26.04.1.
Due to this inconsistency, if one also installs clang, one cannot
compile any C++ program with it, because clang attempts to use the
latest gcc headers found (16), but is missing libstdc++-16-dev.
I suggest to change the dependency of libopenmpi-dev to gfortran | gfortran-16
- in that order,
such that gfortran-15 version is pulled in by default.
