I tested the proposed package on my actual Broadcom Wi-Fi system. Installed: broadcom-sta-dkms 6.30.223.271-23ubuntu1.3 from noble-proposed
Kernel: 7.0.0-30-generic DKMS status: broadcom-sta/6.30.223.271, 7.0.0-30-generic, x86_64: installed The module built successfully without the previous objtool error. After rebooting into kernel 7.0.0-30-generic, the Broadcom Wi-Fi device was detected and I was able to connect to my Wi-Fi normally. So I can confirm that the proposed package fixes the DKMS build problem and restores Broadcom Wi-Fi functionality on my system. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2161038 Title: broadcom-sta-dkms fails to build with kernel 7.0 HWE To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/broadcom-sta/+bug/2161038/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
