Public bug reported:
Update from 25.10 to 26.04 failed early because of a file conflict in
Carla Bridge.
The log files was not helpful to detect this kind problem.
After a manual update I found the cause of the problem.
Carla itself installs f.e. /usr/lib/carla/carla-bridge-win64.exe
or
/usr/lib/lv2/carla.lv2/jackbridge-wine64.dll-
These packages cannot be installed at the same time.
There is a package conflict missing.
This missing conflict leads to the full upgrade from any version (24.04
or 25.10) to Ubuntustudio 26.04 to fail.
Please add a proper conflict or fix the bridge package.
Version of Ubuntu: 25.10 -> 26.04, is reproducable on 26.04 by
installang carla-bridge-win64, carla-bridge-linux64, carla-bridge-wine64
and probably other carla bridges.
