Yes, exactly ! The goal is to run ZSNES2 as a 32-bit application through multiarch on a supported amd64 Ubuntu system. I am still using Noble myself, and I maintain PPAs for 24.04, 26.04, and the upcoming 26.10.
ZSNES was historically written heavily in 32-bit x86 assembly. The maintained fork has ported a lot of code to C, but it still contains significant 32-bit x86 assembly, and its current Linux build explicitly uses -m32 and 32-bit libraries such as libsdl3-dev:i386. I have already tested the resulting zsnes2:i386 package successfully on an amd64 Noble installation using multiarch. I have many PPAs for different purposes You can check them all at: https://launchpad.net/~johngrimmreaper The ones I want to publish this package are: https://launchpad.net/~johngrimmreaper/+archive/ubuntu/24.04 https://launchpad.net/~johngrimmreaper/+archive/ubuntu/26.04 https://launchpad.net/~johngrimmreaper/+archive/ubuntu/26.10 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2166200 Title: i386 allowlist request: zsnes2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/2166200/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
