Given that this is binary firmware and libraries and multiverse, I'm not
sure how feasible that is.

Maybe we should try. The content of this packages is basically only
firmwares. The DSP binaries/libraries are not build for the host
architecture, but for the DSP one. So I don't really see the difference
with a firmware blob.
