(#30~24.04.1-Ubuntu, 2026-08-07). BIOS 1.25.0 (2026-06-30), EC firmware 1.32.
Same split as this bug: KDE/UPower still show AC after the USB-C brick is gone,
while ACPI already reports the adapter off and the pack is discharging.
2026-09-04 (Europe/Stockholm):
* 10:02 — s2idle resume, USB-C PD brick still attached (Anker, negotiated
15 V × 4.8 A). dmesg:
ucsi_acpi USBC000:00: failed to re-enable notifications (-110)
* ~12:12 — brick unplugged; nothing in any Type-C port. User confirmed
empty ports by hand.
After unplug, before bouncing the driver:
* `/sys/class/power_supply/AC/online` = 0
* BAT0 `status` = Discharging (~94%)
* TLP / `platform_profile` already `quiet` (on-battery)
* `ucsi-source-psy-USBC000:003/online` = 1, still showing the 15 V / 4.8 A
contract
* `/sys/class/typec/port2-partner` still present
* UPower `OnBattery` = false (follows the UCSI line-power device)
* that UPower UCSI node's `updated` timestamp was still 10:02 (the resume),
not the unplug
Workaround: unbind + bind `ucsi_acpi` on `USBC000:00`. The partner node
vanished, the `:003` power_supply dropped, `OnBattery` became true. So the
firmware *current* connector status is disconnected; the unplug event after
the failed resume notify was dropped.
This build already has the Dell extra-ACK quirk path in `ucsi_acpi`. Still
reproduced on a later unplug after s2idle resume. Happy to attach more logs
if useful.
