Please grant a Feature Freeze Exception for the 24 updates listed below to align Ubuntu 26.10 (Stonking) with the final OpenStack 2026.2 Hibiscus client and non-client library releases. These releases provide the client commands, service API support and shared library changes for Hibiscus. Aligning them with the service release gives Ubuntu users access to that functionality and the final upstream fixes and compatibility work. The upstream final non-client and client-library milestones fell in the weeks of 17-21 August and 24-28 August respectively. Stonking entered Feature Freeze on 20 August. This request covers the outstanding feature and API changes needed to complete the library alignment. The exception is limited to these target versions. The remaining 32 outstanding library updates contain only fixes or maintenance relative to the latest archive versions and do not need an FFe for that remaining delta. [Regression potential] The main compatibility risks are removed CLI commands and Python interfaces: Magnum and Cyborg legacy CLIs, Neutron VPNaaS commands, Barbican and Keystone imports, and Mistral integrations. Consumers and scripts using those interfaces need checking against the replacements. Keystoneauth, SDK and session changes affect authentication, token reuse and TLS.
