I have switched to the 7.0.0-30-generic on august 28, so it worked well for 5 days, with multiple suspend and resume (each night), but, since the morning resume of september the 2nd, it refuses to work again, like if a chip keep a bad state. I tried to shut it down a whole night, without A/C power cable plugged and I also tried with a new cable. Nothing works. I have to use hdmi cable instead, but since it's a wide screen, I can't have the max resolution and refresh on hdmi.
