I think this may be an already known issue. Can you please attach your
/var/log/Xorg.0.log, /etc/X11/xorg.conf and the output from lspci -vvnn?
Also, check to see if the issue exists even when Compiz is turned off. I
recall noticing this problem on my 945 with compiz, but don't recall seeing it
in Gutsy (but I wasn't running compiz then.)
