Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: kdm
With kdm set as the default session manager, it crashes when the user
logs out, and displays a screenfull of funny characters on the tty
screen (faces, blinking things). The terminal is completely dead, you
can not even get info a virtual tty. Reboot is the only way out.
This does not happen with gdm.
