Public bug reported:
Bluetooth periodically drops all connected devices (observed with a
Logitech MX Vertical mouse, BLE HID). The system tray Bluetooth icon
disappears and reappears. journalctl -k shows the Intel BT controller
hitting a hardware exception and resetting:

Most resets recover silently within 1–2 seconds and the device reconnects
automatically. At least one occurrence escalated into a full reset failure
requiring firmware re-download:

This causes the entire BlueZ stack (including unrelated A2DP audio endpoints)
to tear down and re-register during the reset.
Frequency: Recurs roughly every 5–10 minutes during normal use,
independent of Wi-Fi activity (no correlated iwlwifi errors at the same
timestamps, despite sharing the CNVi module with Wi-Fi).
Steps to reproduce:
Pair a BLE HID device (tested: Logitech MX Vertical mouse) over native
Bluetooth.
Leave the system idle/in normal use.
Observe periodic disconnect/reconnect cycles in the tray icon and in journalctl
-k | grep -i bluetooth.
Troubleshooting already ruled out:
Not a kernel regression — reproduces identically on 7.0.0-30-generic and
7.0.0-31-generic.
Not a linux-firmware staleness issue — already on latest published firmware
package for this release.
Tried btintel.le_simultaneous_roles=0 module option as a workaround — kernel
logs unknown parameter 'le_simultaneous_roles' ignored, so this parameter
doesn't exist for this driver/kernel combo and has no effect.
Not correlated with Wi-Fi activity on the same CNVi chip.
