copilot debugging of the build issue
Root cause: debian/patches/relax-gtk-stack.patch bumps
podcasts-gtk/Cargo.toml to use libadwaita = "0.9" (with only feature v1_8
enabled) and gtk4 = "0.11" . In libadwaita 0.9.2,
adw::Spinner only implements gtk::Accessible when the crate's gtk_v4_10
feature is enabled:
#[cfg(feature = "gtk_v4_10")]
pub struct Spinner(...) @extends gtk::Widget, @implements gtk::Accessible,
gtk::Buildable, gtk::ConstraintTarget;
Since the patch only turns on v1_8 (not gtk_v4_10 ), Spinner loses the
Accessible interface, breaking the .announce() calls in
discovery_page.rs:109 and
discovery_search_results.rs:148 .
Fix: add "gtk_v4_10" to the libadwaita feature list in podcasts-
gtk/Cargo.toml :
adw = { package = "libadwaita", version = "0.9", features = ["v1_8",
"gtk_v4_10"] }
(or a higher gtk_v4_* feature already implying it). This should be
added as a small follow-up patch to relax-gtk-stack.patch or a new
patch. Want me to prepare that patch?
