Binary package hint: gcc-2.95
Hello.
I just upgraded to Hardy the other day and had to discover that epsxe
(www.epsxe.com) had stopped working. After some searching I found out
that the file libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 was missing from my system which
was needed to run one of the sound plugins, libSPUEternal.so. Some more
searching revealed that this particular file was once inside the package
libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2 which isn't included in Hardy aymore.
Unfortunately it is impossible to recompile libSPUEternal.so, because of
its closed-source nature (being built in 2003) and the project being
long dead. Nevertheless its emulation accuracy and sound quality is
still unmatched and it would be a shame to lose the ability to use it.
So please re-include at least the library I was talking about into
Hardy.
