> On the first point, *should* ubuntu-raspi-settings support operation with linux-image-generic? We never test this configuration, as the only supported kernel on the Pi under Ubuntu is linux-image-raspi. Is the suggestion that ubuntu-raspi-settings should conflict with linux-image- generic? Or that reset_brcmstb should be built in linux-image-generic? Or something else?
Good questions. As naive user I would expect that the generic kernel is generic and should work everywhere. So building reset_brcmstb in linux- image-generic would be my suggestion. Then ubuntu-raspi-settings does not have to conflict with it. > update-initramfs trigger (which I believe should hit both dracut and initramfs-tools, whichever is installed) Yes. The trigger is for both. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2164978 Title: [SRU] Pi 5 initramfs lacks the PCIe reset supplier modules To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-raspi-settings/+bug/2164978/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
