Hello, Muhammad, thanks for reaching out and reporting this bug.
The error log states that the config file is not found, and the only way I
could reproduce this bug was deleting the .cnf file. In that case, this is
expected behavior.
Please check if you have /etc/mysql/my.cnf and/or /etc/mysql/mysql.cnf in your
filesystem.
If you don't, the default configuration can be restored using:
sudo apt-get -o Dpkg::Options::="--force-confmiss" install --reinstall
mysql-server mysql-common
I am marking this bug invalid. Feel free to reopen it, or report another
bug, if there is any other issue.
