Public bug reported:
Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, amd64.
GNOME Remote Desktop 46.3.
RDP from macOS worked normally with FreeRDP/WinPR 3.31.
On Sept. 29, all four packages were automatically upgraded from
3.31.0+dfsg-0ubuntu0.24.04.1 to 3.32.0+dfsg-0ubuntu0.24.04.1.
Immediately afterward macOS RDP connections failed.
GRD received the connection but logged:
[ERROR][com.freerdp.core.transport] - [transport_read_layer]: BIO_read retries
exceeded
[ERROR][com.freerdp.core.peer] - [transport_read_layer]:
ERRCONNECT_CONNECT_TRANSPORT_FAILED [0x0002000D]
[RDP] Network or intentional disconnect, stopping session
Downgraded all four packages—libwinpr3-3, libfreerdp3-3, libfreerdp-server3-3,
and libfreerdp-client3-3—back to 3.31.
Without changing the Mac client or the GNOME Remote Desktop configuration, RDP
immediately began working again.
