Public bug reported:

Debian removed aiozmq from testing on 2026-01-22
(https://release.debian.org/britney/hints/auto-removals; bugs:
https://bugs.debian.org/1123093).
It is still in Debian unstable, so this may be temporary.
Details: https://tracker.debian.org/news/1709335/aiozmq-removed-from-testing/

In Ubuntu, aiozmq 1.0.0-1build1 is stuck in stonking-proposed (293 days)
because it fails to build from source on amd64 (missing build of
python3-aiozmq): with Python 3.14, asyncio.SafeChildWatcher no longer
exists, so "import aiozmq" (aiozmq/core.py:22) raises ImportError during
dh_auto_test. An upstream fix is proposed but unmerged:
https://github.com/aio-libs/aiozmq/pull/194

Please delete aiozmq from the stonking release pocket (the candidate
1.0.0-1build1 stays in -proposed and can migrate again once Debian
fixes it), mirroring the testing removal.

Reverse dependencies in stonking:

  $ reverse-depends -r stonking src:aiozmq
  No reverse dependencies found

  $ reverse-depends -r stonking -b src:aiozmq
  No reverse dependencies found
