Ubuntu has the same problem: rust-libsensors-sys 0.2.0-1build1 fails to build in stonking-proposed on amd64, amd64v3, arm64, ppc64el and s390x. The old checked-in bindgen layout tests in src/sensors.rs use the `&(*ptr::null::<T>()).field` offset trick. rustc 1.97 adds runtime null-pointer-dereference checks to debug builds, so the test bindgen_test_layout__IO_FILE panics and `cargo test` exits with code 101. Upstream fixed this in libsensors-sys 0.3.0 by generating the bindings with bindgen at build time (https://github.com/nyantec/libsensors-sys/pull/6, https://github.com/nyantec/libsensors-sys/commit/acbce9aa235c6cb656741e4fc9cd4db461d67229, https://github.com/nyantec/libsensors-sys/commit/f3e0c31bdf31cee4aa878d6200960ddc4d45a413). Debian has not packaged that fix yet. Please delete rust-libsensors-sys 0.2.0-1 from the stonking release pocket, mirroring the Debian testing removal. The candidate 0.2.0-1build1 stays in -proposed and can migrate again once Debian (or Ubuntu) fixes it.
