Public bug reported: migraphx 7.1.1-7 fails to build from source in stonking on all architectures (amd64, amd64v3, arm64). This is a new package, so it has no binaries and cannot migrate.

Deeper analysis corrects this: compilation succeeds; the failure is a symbols-file mismatch caused by Ubuntu's default -flto=auto (clang++ 22.1.6). With LTO, 267 C++ template/inline instantiations listed in debian/libmigraphx-c3.symbols disappear from libmigraphx_c.so.3 (e.g. migraphx::version_2_14_0::float_equal_fn::apply<...>, custom_operation<migraphx_experimental_custom_op>::name(), std::_Sp_counted_* vtables); no new symbols appear: dpkg-gensymbols: error: some symbols or patterns disappeared in the symbols file +#MISSING: 7.1.1-7# (c++)"migraphx::custom_operation<migraphx_experimental_custom_op>::name[abi:cxx11]() const@Base" 7.0.2 ... (267 #MISSING lines) dh_makeshlibs: error: failing due to earlier errors Debian builds without LTO, so the symbols file matches there. Debian 7.1.1-8 does not change this, so a sync alone will not fix it. Debian bug https://bugs.debian.org/1133550 (GCC-16 FTBFS) is a different issue. Suggested fix (untested): in debian/rules set export DEB_BUILD_MAINT_OPTIONS = hardening=+all optimize=-lto (alternatively mark the affected C++ template symbols (optional)).
