From all what I can see, the PR https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/pull/109164 is included and llvm-21 and later. (Even if the modification for example in clang/lib/Basic/Targets/SystemZ.h looks a bit different compared to what is in 6d03f51f0c59, but maybe a commit changed it on top.)
The situation with llvm-21 in Ubuntu is that we ship it with 26.04/resolute and stonking/26.10: $ rmadison llvm-21 llvm-21 | 1:21.1.8-6ubuntu1 | resolute/universe | amd64, amd64v3, arm64, armhf, i386, ppc64el, riscv64, s390x llvm-21 | 1:21.1.8-10ubuntu2 | stonking/universe | amd64, amd64v3, arm64, armhf, i386, ppc64el, riscv64, s390x llvm-21 | 1:21.1.8-13ubuntu1 | stonking-proposed/universe | amd64, amd64v3, arm64, armhf, i386, ppc64el, s390x Means with have this now in the latest two important releases (the current devel/stonking and latest LTS/resolute), but not in llvm-18. However, that to liushuyu-011 there is a mitigation in place. I'm wondering if that is sufficient (the mitigation in -18 and have the fix/support in -21 onwards) - I would vote for a 'yes'. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2075491 Title: binary16 float-point arithmetic crashes LLVM on s390x To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-z-systems/+bug/2075491/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
