The logs show network/DNS failures followed by unattended-upgrades
starting, but do not yet establish where the process became blocked.

Could you please provide the system journal covering the affected
period, particularly apt-daily-upgrade.service and any kernel warnings,
and clarify:

- Was the VPS console responsive while SSH and websites were unavailable?
- How was the hang located inside apt.Cache.__init__()? If you captured a stack 
trace or process trace, please attach it.
- Has the issue occurred more than once with the original configuration?
