Also affects Ubuntu 24.04 (noble): libfreerdp3-3 3.32.0+dfsg-0ubuntu0.24.04.1, installed from noble-security, with Remmina 1.4.43+dfsg-0ubuntu0.24.04.2.
Symptom: the redirected drive (\\tsclient\<name>) is visible and can be listed, but every file read fails. Windows Explorer says "Can't read from the source file or disk". The client log shows, for each read: [ERROR][com.winpr.file] - [GetFileSize]: GetFileSize operation not implemented [ERROR][com.freerdp.channels.drive.client] - [drive_map_windows_err]: Error code not found: 87 Cause: drive_file_read() in channels/drive/client/drive_file.c calls GetFileSize(file, ...) with the DRIVE_FILE struct instead of file->file_handle. The size therefore comes back as 0 and every read returns ERROR_INVALID_PARAMETER. Fixed upstream in aac806451cc1a928365a0b2ee5ae6a929bf7443d (in 3.32.1). Workaround: downgrading to 3.5.1+dfsg1-0ubuntu1.5 (plus remmina 1.4.35+dfsg-0ubuntu5.2) makes drive redirection work again. Please backport the fix to the noble and 26.04 security/updates builds. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2168939 Title: Broken drive-redirection in 3.32.0+dfsg-0ubuntu0.26.04.1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/freerdp3/+bug/2168939/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
