I can confirm that the fix works. I have a Canon TS3400, connected through wifi, that worked perfectly on 22.04/24.04 and stopped working after upgrading to 26.04.1 yesterday (Printing from android kept working so no printer hardware or network issues) The Gnome printer dialog sees the printer and adds it automatically but fails to print without any error message (Would be very usefull as Martin mentioned) When trying to modify/check the printer through the cups webfrontend it revealed that it was unable to load the Canon ts3400 driver. After implemting the 'client.conf' fix the printer starts working without any changes to the default printer found automatically by the Gnome printer app.
