7.0.0-38 includes "drm/amd/display: consolidate DCN vblank/flip handling onto vupdate_no_lock" but not its follow-up, upstream 48ab86360af1 "drm/amd/display: check GRPH_FLIP status before sending event". apt changelog linux-modules-7.0.0-38-generic | grep -i GRPH_FLIP returns nothing. The follow-up fixes display corruption when a flip event is delivered before the hardware latches the flip. Backports exist for 6.18.y and 7.1.y. It looks like a likely candidate for this regression.
