After upgrading to Ubuntu 26.04 LTS, the system experiences a kernel panic / Oops during boot when using the default kernel 7.0.0-38-generic.
The crash happens during the driver initialization of 'intel_ish_ipc' and 'ie31200_edac' due to an instruction fetch on an NX-protected page (error_code 0x0011). Hardware: Dell Precision 7780 (BIOS 1.30.0) Workaround I'm trying next: Blacklisting intel_ish_ipc. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2169257 Title: Kernel 7.0.0-38-generic panic / execution of NX-protected page during boot (intel_ish_ipc / ie31200_edac) on Dell Precision 7780 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2169257/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
