Over in Lubuntu for a bit . . . checking the various session options, still "LXQT WAYLAND" logs in to black screen, but "Lubuntu Wayland" seems to provide a "wayland session" . . . . In using "super intelligence" to find out how to query the session
~$ echo $XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP LXQt:miriway:mir
But previously checking the "Miriway" option in the drop down menu that went to a black screen . . . . So I htink there are still just two options to choose from, the only "joy" is the cursor didn't auto-scroll to the "Lubuntu Wayland" option . . . I could select it. Ran a dist-upgrade, have to check in a bit if I can log out and back into X11 . . . ????? [edit] Tried to log out of Wayland and back into LXQT desktop and it first returned to the log in window again, had to re-choose X11 to get it to switch over to X from Wayland . . . so not "smooth" in the transitions.
