Public bug reported:

This is mainly a pre-condition for backporting the GCC packages from the
26.10 release to the 26.04 release. During the beta freeze, developers
identified a just backported patch in upstream GCC 15 branch as build
failure for issues with the petsc/dolfin stacks (PR target/117814 (ARM,
LP: #2168983)).

  * Update to git 20261003 from the gcc-15 branch.
    - Fix PR target/107549 (xtensa), PR target/117814 (ARM, LP: #2168983),
      PR rtl-optimization/127367, PR target/127461 (x86),
      PR target/127500 (x86), PR fortran/127187, PR libstdc++/114400,
      PR libstdc++/127656, PR libstdc++/123409.

As we are doing with any other toolchain backport, we are not
backporting single patches from the branches resulting in some kind of
FrankenGCC, but update to the current upstream branches for these
backports.

The proposed backports are already used in the stonking test rebuild started at
https://people.canonical.com/~ginggs/ftbfs-report/test-rebuild-20260923-stonking-stonking.html
except on the riscv64 architecture where the proposed gcc-15 packages are still
building while the test rebuild is already running.

** Affects: gcc-15 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
