I can reproduce what appears to be the same regression on older RDNA2 hardware.
AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT (Navi 23, PCI 1002:73ff) X11 session, amdgpu/radeonsi DisplayPort 2560x1440 @ 144 Hz Kernel comparison on the same installed system: 7.0.0-34-generic: no artifacts 7.0.0-38-generic: intermittent display artifacts The artifact is a horizontal band across the full width of the screen, roughly 100-200 px high. It can be completely black or contain corrupted image data and is visible only briefly (a fraction of a second). It is not application-specific. I have also observed the problem with both a single-monitor setup and a dual-monitor setup, so in my case multiple monitors or mixed-monitor operation are not required to trigger it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2169319 Title: amdgpu: screen flashes at 120/144 Hz on RX 9060 XT (gfx1200), regression 7.0.0-34 -> 7.0.0-38 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2169319/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
