Public bug reported:
ubuntu-release-upgrader 1:26.04.25, do-release-upgrade to 26.04, en_GB
locale.
When the upgrader finds packages from unofficial sources it ends the
"Foreign Packages Installed" dialog with:
Do you want to continue the upgrade anyways?
"Anyways" is colloquial, non-standard English in every variety of the
language, including US English which the source strings are otherwise
written in. Every other prompt in the upgrader uses standard phrasing.
The string was introduced in ba84c1658 (DistUpgrade: warn about foreign
packages after rewriting sources, 2024-11-25) in
DistUpgrade/DistUpgradeController.py. It is untranslated in en_GB on
Launchpad, but the fix belongs in the source string rather than in a
translation.
The attached patch changes the one word. It deliberately does not touch
po/ubuntu-release-upgrader.pot, following the repo's convention of
regenerating templates in the "Run pre-build.sh" commits. Note the
msgid change will mark any existing Launchpad translations of this
string as needing review.
