Public bug reported:
PPA: https://launchpad.net/~antoinelassagne/+archive/ubuntu/sru-mig-parted
This PPA contains exactly the version from stonking with a changelog entry for
resolute.
[ Impact ]
* mig-parted is a nvdia utility to partition a GPU. Partner Engineering
/ the OEM team maintain a version for resolute in the OEM archive.
Having it in the latest LTS would allow more users to receive it, and
reduce maintenance.
[ Test Plan ]
* Install the package
* `nvidia-smi mig -lgip` to see available configurations
* `nvidia-mig-parted apply -f <conf file> -c <conf name>` and
`nvidia-mig-parted assert -f <conf file> -c <conf name>` to apply it
* `nvidia-smi mig -lgi` and `nvidia-smi` to apply it.
[ Where problems could occur ]
* It's a new package, not conflicting with anything, nothing should go
wrong
* People might get surprised to receive the package from our archive
when they were receiving one from NVIDIA's archive before. However,
since we are behind in terms of versions, users who have setup NVIDIA's
archive won't be impacted.
** Affects: mig-parted (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
