Hey, sorry. That sentence was worded pretty poorly. My understanding of how the code works is that, when smartcard login is enabled, FreeRDP only stores one secret, FreeRDP_Password, and uses it as the PIN.
Before this patch, Remmina filled that slot with the value of the Password field, and completely ignored the Smartcard PIN field. After the patch, it uses the value of the Smartcard PIN field, iff it is set. To your questions: - The combination only works now when the user puts their smartcard pin in the Password field. - The code behaves exactly the same for users with smartcard logon off, or with the Smartcard PIN field empty. The one possible setup that goes from working to failing is if the PIN is in the Password field, and the Smartcard PIN field contains a different, incorrect value. I don't see any reason why a user would require this setup, it's a misconfiguration on their end. If a user runs into this issue, the fix is to put in the correct PIN in the Smartcard PIN field. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2163414 Title: [SRU] RDP smartcard logon does not work To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/remmina/+bug/2163414/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
