Public bug reported: Internal speakers and microphone do not work on this laptop; only HDMI audio is available and PipeWire falls back to "Dummy Output". This is an upstream kernel driver gap, not a userspace/configuration issue.
Hardware / system: - MECHREVO WUJIE 14SAH (ODM: AIstone), AMD Ryzen 7 H 255 - Ubuntu 26.04, kernel 7.0.0-38-generic (Wayland) - Audio Coprocessor: 0000:03:00.5 [1022:15e2] (rev 63) - AMD ACP6.3 - No legacy HDA controller (1022:15e3) Root cause (tracked upstream): - The internal codec is an Everest Semiconductor ES9356 (SoundWire 04b3:9356), a SDCA device providing UAJ + SmartAmp + SmartMic + HID. - It enumerates as sdw:0:0:04b3:9356:01 (link 0) but no ASoC machine driver binds it: snd_soc_acpi_amd_acp63_sdw_machines[] (amd-acp63-acpi-match.c) has no ES9356 entry, so no sound card / PCM is created for either playback or capture. - The ES9356 codec driver (sound/soc/codecs/es9356.c, snd-soc-es9356) is already in mainline 7.2, but the AMD ACP6.3 machine entry is still missing (checked broonie/sound for-next, commit 695f659d, 2026-10-05: ES9356 machine glue exists for Intel only).
