Status update on the node-cheerio migration.
1) Autopkgtests: the remaining node-cheerio 1.2.0+~cs2.1.0-2ubuntu1 failures
were not caused by the fix. Runs without node-parse5 in the triggers installed
node-parse5 7.1.2 from the release pocket, which can't load node-entities 8.0.0
(already in stonking):
ERR_PACKAGE_PATH_NOT_EXPORTED: './lib/decode.js' is not defined by "exports"
in .../entities/package.json imported from .../parse5/dist/tokenizer/index.js
Re-running with node-cheerio, node-dom-serializer, node-domutils,
node-htmlparser2, node-parse5 and node-jsdom as triggers passes on all
architectures. All six are now 'Will attempt migration'.
2) Installability: britney still skips the group (update_output.txt, 2026-10-06
12:21):

skipped: ... * amd64: node-cheerio
node-htmlparser2 12.0.0-2 has Breaks: node-eslint-plugin-html (<< 6.3~), and
stonking only has 6.2.0-3.
Debian fixed this after Debian Import Freeze, so these need to be synced from
unstable:
- node-htmlparser2 12.0.0-3: 'Relax Breaks against node-eslint-plugin-html:
6.2.0-4 is compatible' (Breaks << 6.2.0-4~)
- node-eslint-plugin-html 6.2.0-4: adds Breaks: eslint (<<
6.4.0~dfsg+~6.1.9-14~), because older eslint's v8-compile-cache prevents
require() of ES modules
- eslint 6.4.0~dfsg+~6.1.9-14: 'Drop v8-compile-cache: it breaks require() of
ES modules'; adapts the HTML formatter test to an ESM cheerio
None of them has an Ubuntu delta. Only relaxing the Breaks in Ubuntu would hide
a real runtime break between eslint -13 and htmlparser2 12.
Once these are synced and built, autopkgtests should be retried with the full
set of triggers. If britney still splits the items, an archive admin hint will
be needed, e.g.:
