Thank you for the bug report. From the MySQL error log, I see
unknown variable 'default_authentication_plugin=mysql_native_password'
The default_authentication_plugin configuration setting was removed in
MySQL 8.4, please replace it with authentication_policy if needed. Also,
if you have any users using mysql_native_password, add
mysql_native_password=ON to your configuration too.
