As the kernel 7.0.0-38 is crashing during boot I can not call apport-
collect with this kernel.

So I booted the last working kernel on my system (6.8.0) and called
apport-collect with that now.

The boot log with the failing 7.0.0-38 was attached at the top of this
bug report.

** Description changed:

  Booting after upgrading from to last LTS to Kubuntu 26.04 LTS gives
  Kernel panics during boot.

  $  lsb_release -rd
  Description:    Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS
  Release:        26.04

  $ cat /proc/version_signature
  --> doesn't make sense, as I had to use an older kernel to get the machine
running to write this report

+
+ The following is from booting an old kernel (6.8.0) as 7.0.0-38 crashes so
early that I couldn't collect this data
