I'm booting off a brand new gutsy install, and a new motherboard (and
hence network card altogether). At first I thought this problem was not
occurring, but after the last few boots this share is again failing to
mount.

uname -a:
Linux Creativity 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Tue Dec 18 05:28:27 UTC 2007 x86_64
GNU/Linux

The error message is different this time, but the result is the same. I
can open another bug if you want, or I can append to this one. I'll
attach the dmesg output from my last boot where the mount failed.
Here's the /etc/fstab:

proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
