(In reply to marcingadziala17 from comment #36)

The OmniBook X Flip 14 (board 8D9F) has been confirmed to have the same
firmware bug (comment #39), so your 04F3:4430 is very likely affected
too. The perryFile/BitSlice32 fix only salvages broken frames; it does
not stop the interrupt storm.

Please run this with your hands off the screen and paste the output
here:

  cat /sys/class/dmi/id/board_name /sys/class/dmi/id/bios_version
grep ELAN /proc/interrupts; sleep 1; grep ELAN /proc/interrupts

If the ELAN count rises by several hundred in that second, use the ACPI table
fix:
https://github.com/iamwaqargulzar/hp-omnibook-x-flip-16-linux-touchscreen-pen-fix

The CachyOS install problem Florian hit is fixed in the current version.
CachyOS uses mkinitcpio, so after "sudo ./tool/hp-touch-irq-fix
install", add acpi_override to HOOKS in /etc/mkinitcpio.conf (after
base), run "sudo mkinitcpio -P", reboot, then run "sudo hp-touch-irq-fix
verify".
