I followed the verification steps to confirm that the updated package
version does not regress when performing a release upgrade from Noble to
Resolute (rtkit version 0.13-5build1 to 0.14-1ubuntu0.1):
1. I created a noble lxd container with:
~# lxc launch ubuntu-daily:noble rtkit-test
2. I updated the system and installed rtkit (the Noble version,
0.13-5build1).
3. I followed the linked steps to enable proposed and updated the system
again. Then, I enabled proposed for rtkit during the release upgrade:
~# tee /etc/apt/preferences.d/proposed >/dev/null <<'EOF'
Package: src:rtkit
Pin: release a=resolute-proposed
Pin-Priority: 510
EOF
4. Finally, I upgraded to Resolute (do-release-upgrade). This worked without
errors, and afterwards, I verified that the proposed version of rtkit was
installed:
~# apt policy rtkit
rtkit:
Installed: 0.14-1ubuntu0.1
Candidate: 0.14-1ubuntu0.1
Version table:
