Public bug reported:
A segmentation fault occurs when running perf annotate on an amd64 host
to analyze a perf.data file that was captured on a riscv64 board.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Capture the data on a riscv64 board:
perf record -e cpu-clock -a -g -F 99 -- sleep 5
2. Run perf annotate on the amd64 host to reproduce the crash:
perf annotate -i perf.data \
--vmlinux ./vmlinux \
--objdump /usr/bin/riscv64-linux-gnu-objdump \
--symbol tcp_gro_receive \
--percent-type local-period
The referenced perf.data and vmlinux files have been uploaded as
attachments to this report.
