Public bug reported:

Hardware: Dell Latitude 7440, Intel Raptor Lake IPU6 [8086:a75d], sensor
OmniVision OV02C10 (ACPI OVTI02C1:00)
System: Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS, kernel 7.0.0-1015-oem, libcamera 0.7.0-1ubuntu2,
PipeWire 1.6.2

Summary:
The integrated camera is detected and streams, the white LED turns on, but
every frame is black.
The same camera works correctly under Windows on this machine, and the privacy
shutter is open
(lens visibly uncovered).

What works:
- intel-ipu6 loads, firmware authenticates, "Found supported sensor
OVTI02C1:00", "Connected 1 cameras"
- libcamera lists the camera (simple pipeline handler, software ISP)
- PipeWire exposes it as "ov02c10 [libcamera]"

What fails:
- gst-launch-1.0 libcamerasrc ! videoconvert ! autovideosink  -> window opens,
image fully black
- Same result with LIBCAMERA_SOFTISP_MODE=cpu (so not the GPU debayer path)
- Soft ISP AGC debug shows exposure pinned at maximum (2320) and gain
increasing, while almost all
pixels stay in the lowest histogram bin (~128700 of ~131000), even when
pointing at a bright light

Kernel messages while streaming:
  intel_ipu6_isys.isys intel_ipu6.isys.40: csi2-1 error: Frame sync error
  intel_ipu6_isys.isys intel_ipu6.isys.40: csi2-1 error: Transfer FIFO overflow
  intel_ipu6_isys.isys intel_ipu6.isys.40: csi2-1 error: Inter-frame long
packet discarded
  intel_ipu6_isys.isys intel_ipu6.isys.40: csi2-1 error: Inter-frame short
packet discarded
int3472-discrete INT3472:06: GPIO type 0x02 unknown; the sensor may not work

libcamera messages:
'ov02c10 15-0036': Unable to get rectangle 0/1/2 on pad 0/0: Inappropriate
ioctl for device
'ov02c10 15-0036': The sensor kernel driver needs to be fixed
IPASoft: Failed to create camera sensor helper for ov02c10

Also tested:
- Kernel 7.0.0-38-generic with linux-main-modules-ipu6-7.0.0-38-generic: same
black image
-
/sys/bus/wmi/devices/6932965F-1671-4CEB-B988-D3AB0A901919/dell_privacy_supported_type
 reports
"[Camera Shutter] [unsupported]", so no Dell hardware privacy mute is involved
- The Intel HAL stack (libcamhal / icamerasrc) is not available in the 26.04
archive, so it could not be tested

(Dell Inspiron 7440, same "LED on, black image" symptom on 26.04)

Expected: a visible image from the integrated camera.
