Public bug reported: icann-rdap-cli 0.0.31-1 has been in stonking-proposed for ~62 days and has never built. It has never been in an Ubuntu release.
After a build retry (the old dependency wait on librust-icann-rdap- client-0.0 is resolved now that icann-rdap-client/common 0.0.31 migrated), it fails to compile on all architectures: error[E0432]: unresolved imports `hickory_client::ClientError`, `hickory_client::proto::runtime`, `hickory_client::proto::udp` error[E0599]: no associated function or constant named `connect` found for struct `hickory_client::Client<P>` https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/icann-rdap- cli/0.0.31-1/+build/33481069 The archive's hickory-client 0.25.2-3 is built against hickory-proto 0.26, where those APIs moved to the new hickory-net crate. Upstream adapted in icann-rdap-cli 1.0.x (imports from hickory_net 0.26; Debian unstable has 1.0.1-1), but moving the four icann-rdap sources to 1.0 is too late for this cycle. icann-rdap-srv 0.0.31-1 builds fine after the retry and isn't affected. Nothing depends on icann-rdap-cli. Please remove icann-rdap-cli from stonking-proposed; 1.0.x can come in next cycle. ** Affects: icann-rdap-cli (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: update-excuse ** Tags added: update-excuse -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2170552 Title: Please remove icann-rdap-cli from stonking-proposed: FTBFS with hickory 0.26 API (fixed in 1.0.x) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/icann-rdap-cli/+bug/2170552/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
