An earlier report of the same issue, bug 2170538, now has tested debdiffs for noble (255.4-1ubuntu8.18) and jammy (249.11-0ubuntu3.23) in two comments, with an SRU template in the first. Both debdiffs carry upstream commit 8113361e unchanged and were tested before and after the change in containers. They do not cover 20.04 (focal).
