It's a bit more complicated than that, for system integration we really want all that under .local/share.
I committed the fix to all channels so new releases will contain the fix. I also published my ad-hoc x64 build with the fix to the candidate channel. Can you please confirm it's working after snap refresh --candidate chromium ?
