Thank you for recording the anomaly! I am eager to find out if the GUI freeze affects only my hardware or this release of the OS...
One of my objectives is to popularize the use of UBUNTU on home/school/small office environments, to leverage older but still functional equipment and to reduce costs, here in LATAM. It would be best to do so without the need for the work around, which although acceptable to me, is probably a show stopper for the average user. So, I hope the team will have an additional reason to solve the problem now that I have shared the context.
